For this project, I created paint using earth pigments extracted from soil, and transformed walnut husks into a kind of natural ink. With these handmade, organic materials, I painted a piece dedicated to the bugs and flies living in my garden. The artwork itself became an invitation to the tiny creatures.
At the very end of the video, you see the moment the painting is complete—and almost immediately, the bugs come to visit. They walk across the surface of the painting, as if acknowledging and inhabiting the space I created for them. I took this spontaneous interaction as a sign of success: the painting not only reflects their world but becomes part of it.
